Meet Chef Lalanne
Chef Chuck Lalanne is the executive chef of Canteen Bar & Grille, located off of Interstate 80 in North Platte, Nebraska. Lalanne has deep family roots in North Platte – his grandfather, Georges Lalanne, immigrated to the United States from France in 1928, and ended up running the country club in North Platte. Georges eventually opened Chef Lalanne’s Kitchen in 1958. Chef Lalanne's Kitchen expanded to five locations across Nebraska over 16 years. In that time, Chuck’s dad, George, learned important culinary skills that would become the foundation of Chuck’s life’s work. Chuck began his career in the restaurant world as a sous chef before the age of 18, and has apprenticed under some of the most demanding chefs in Europe.
